SO, IT WAS UNIVERSAL LATER ALSO USED WITH THE NEWLY ISSUED M 16 A1 WHERE FOUR 20 ROUNDS MAGAZINES COULD BE CARRIED IN EACH POUCH. AFTER 1968 A SHORTER POUCH WAS ISSUED.
