1st UK edition 1st printing City Without Walls by WH Auden!! Truly Beautiful!

Description: 1st American edition 1st printing City Without Walls by WH Auden!! Truly Nice!!. Here is a beautiful collectible copy of City Without Walls by W.H. Auden. This is a first UK edition first printing published by Faber & Faber in 1969. This copy is excellent. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The front black cloth board is quite clean with some light dusting. The rear cloth board has partial discoloration to the upper portion and dusting like the front board. The spine and gold gilt lettering is bright and beautiful as shown. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price in British pounds present on the lower front flap also as shown in the photos provided. The jacket has very little wear in the form of a small closed tear at the edge of the rear panel, some light wear at the spine ends, and strangely a square piece of tape at the center of the front panel that can be seen in photo number 13. There is absolutely no reason for this as there is no tear whatsoever here. This is a paper jacket without lamination so removing it would be a mistake. Very strange. The last photo show some minor wear from shelving over time. The jacket comes in a Mylar protector which can easily be removed should you wish and you should so that you can see no tear or rip whatsoever wear this tape square is positioned. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library.
