Description: Stunning 19th Century gilt bronze tazza after an original by Benvenuto Cellini (Italian Florence 1500 – 1571). This tazza has a Neo-Classical design in high relief both on surface and on the underside and sits on a base with ram heads and flowers. Tazza is assembled in three pieces with screw and nut. Measures 5” high x 6 7/8” diameter and is in Excellent antique condition, there is a minor denting to the base, bowl and center has a bronze nail head that has been used to possibly secure the base.
