Here is an antique silver salt dip made in Russia in the mid to late 1800s. It measures 2-1/8 inches in diameter, is 1-1/2 inches tall, perched on three ball feet and weighs 47.4 grams total. It is in very good to excellent pre-owned condition, with expected light scuffing and tarnishing. There is one black spot on the outside, visible in the second photo, towards the right. There are also a few black spots on the inside, probably a reaction the from salt being left in it for too long, also pictured. It is marked on bottom with the Russian 84 mark, indicating it is 875 silver. Please review the photos for a complete description. We do not collect these items, and we are NOT experts.
