This season marked the epic home run race between Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, his Cubs counterpart. In the final game of the series, McGwire hit his 48th and 49th homers, while Sosa hit his 48th of the season. McGwire would close the season with a then major league record 70 homers. Sosa finished with 66, which was the second-highest total ever at the time. All the other familiar names are here -- Rod Beck, Mark Grace, Brian Jordan, Mickey Morandini, Henry Rodriguez, Kevin Tapani and Kerry Wood among others.
