The phone is the actual phone used on the Draft Day floor at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY back on April 19-20, 1997. Think of it, up in the war room coaches, management, owners and staff contemplate who they're going to take when their pick comes up. When it's finally decided upon, a phone call is made to the teams table down on the draft day floor of who the pick is. Once the delegate receives the selection it's written down and given to a runner and taken up to the podium for the announcement. This is the first form of memorabilia that these players are chosen on for that particular team. What an incredible piece of history...still in it's original box!
