Description: 21st Century Music & CollectiblesITEM DESCRIPTIONOriginal 1982 poster for RKO (Radio-Keith-Orpheum) Pictures "Preserving Hollywood's Past for Today and Tomorrow" issued by the UCLA Film Archives / UCLA Theater Arts Library autographed in marker by a multiple of different actors and actresses from the famed film studio. Signers include Fay Wray, Fred Astaire, Virginia May, Walter Scott, Anne Jeffreys, Sam Jaffe, Janet Leigh, Helen Mack, Mala Powers, Mary Brian, Joan Leslie, Guy Madison, Susan Strasberg, Dorothy McGuire, Irene Dunne, Jane Wyatt, Rhonda Fleming, Loraine Day, Linwood Dunn, and Jane Greer. Classic RKO film titles such as "Citizen Kane", "Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Gunga Din" and "King Kong" serve as a border design. The black and white montage features images of Lucille Ball, John Wayne, Orson Welles, Cary Grant, the Marx Brothers, Alfred Hitchcock, among many others.The 42-year old poster measures 21 x 38 inches and is in very good + condition; free of any pinholes or paper tears with mild surface crease wear. Many signatures, particularly those signed with an orange (perhaps originally red) marker have faded over time and have become difficult to read and decipher (please review scans). For example, a signature appears above the image of King King at the poster's center but has become unreadable (see scan 4). The rest of the signatures appear on the border or bottom portion of the poster design; not on the image area - yet due to the fading, several autographs are compromised in their original clarity. The reverse is blank; clean of any handwritten, printed or stamped notations. The poster will be shipped rolled within a protective mailing tube. See scans provided for review.
