Description: 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom with an Alpine White finish. This is a one-owner guitar, and Les Paul himself hand-etched his signature on the body. The guitar is all original with removed covers from the original patent-stamped T-Top pickups. It is in overall great condition for its age with zero issues. It weighs 11.60 pounds. The neck thickness measures 0.824" at the 1st fret and 1.008" at the 12th fret. Excellent overall condition. There are typical scratches and scuffs throughout. The Alpine White has faded a bit, as has the gold hardware. No issues with the binding. There is some typical worming on the back of the body. The back of the neck is smooth with very little wear. The neck is perfectly straight and the truss rod works. The ebony fretboard is very clean with no problems. The frets still have a good amount of fretlife. All frets have been polished to a bright shine. The original tuners work perfectly. All pickups and electronics are original. The covers to the T-Top patent-stamped humbuckers have been removed and are not included. The potentiometers date to 1979 and 1980. Includes the original Gibson chainsaw hardshell case in good condition. One of the latches is missing, but the other two work and keeps the case closed. Does not include any other accessories.
