1981 BMW R-Series

Description: I have to let this one go before completing my cafe racer project. The previous owner, had the engine rebuild and the bike has around 1900mi (see picture of the BMW odo). The engine doesn't have any oil leaks. These are the things I have done to the bike:-New front fender-Removed the flaring which I am including in the sell, along with the mounting hardware-Serviced the shocks -Replaced the handle bar for cafe racer style. The original handlebar and mounting brackets are included.-Replaced the seat subframe and the seat itself, imported from Italy. I am including the original rear seat and subframe.-Replaced mufflers, Imported from Germany. The original mufflers are also included.-I am also including a made in USA LED tail light and turn signals.-Brand new tank cap, but the original is also included.-Brand new battery (less than a month old).-Tires are in good shape-I am including new front brake lines but I have not replaced them-I just changed the oil filter and changed the oil (full synthetic) so don't waste money there.-I also replaced the speedometer for a smaller one (GPS) but I am including the original one in the phone.-I am including 2 more sets of rearview mirrors that I didn't like What is pending-The buyer may or may not want to add a rear fender, I am including 2 (aluminum) that I bought but could decide which one to go for.-I think the rear brake pads are rubbing.-I am including 2 plate holders to chose from. -I will remove the yellow fog light before shipping The changes I have done are purely cosmetic, the bike is running fine, the gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears. I have bought good quality parts as I was planning to keep it, but life told me otherwise. I have invested over $2000 in parts and time. - Clean title on hand, not registered in TX.
