Description: For your viewing pleasure is this vintage Ludwig 6.5x14 Seamless Smooth Bronze snare drum from 1979-1981. This heavy bronze shell, 10-lug snare weighs in at a very sturdy 11 lbs. It is in all-around excellent condition, and has some fine buffing marks throughout the shell from when the previous owner buffed and re-lacquered it. The previous owner installed a modern ludwig butt plate which has been removed and the original butt plate reinstalled which left two extra holes that are almost entirely covered. There are no other extra holes or modifications of any kind. Aside from the nice replacement heads and Puresound wires, this drum is 100% original including the smooth operating P-85 strainer. This fine instrument tunes up easily and sounds wonderful in all tuning ranges. If you have been looking for a special snare for your collection or recording studio, you'd be hard pressed to find another from this era in this condition at this price range. Enjoy!
