Description: With demand high for autographed footballs, The Nebraska athletic department came up with a unique way to get signed footballs into their fans hands. The first year was 1971. This ball for sale is a 1972. There was a hand stamp made for each coach and top players. The stamp was pressed on an ink pad, and the applied to the football. The ball might hold air. I did not try to insert a needle as I have damaged other balls in the past. I believe it is holding its shape nicely and will display well.
