Description: 1971 SCHWINN SUBURBAN LADIES 3-SPEED ROAD CRUISER BIKE VINTAGE COLLEGIATE BREEZE Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original November 1971 VINTAGE (serial number is LG) ladies SCHWINN SUBURBAN 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 27" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing Sierra Brown colored factory paint with gold accents. (A unique tasteful color combo many people love) If you like unique vintage original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool ladies cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, original chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn comfort hand grips, factory color matched fenders Schwinn reflector bow pedals, and more! I believe this bike to be basically all original parts from when it was new! WOW! (see pics and be your own judge) These bikes look good and ride great! *1970 was the VERY FIRST year of the Schwinn Suburban bicycle! Here is a quote from the 1970 Schwinn Catalog! "Three generations of the Schwinn family, and 75 years of know-how have developed this most exciting concept of lightweight cycling,,, the Schwinn Suburban." *The tires are 27x1 1/4". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn rims front and rear. *The bike is an original 3-SPEED and the gears do not operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (this one has been in long term storage and may need adjustment or possible cable replacement) Add up the value of the parts (fenders, bars, wheels, etc) There is more here than you think! *DIMENSIONS The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 19". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21". The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. I love the fact that this one still wear its original paint. (has chips scratches, etc) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Wheel chrome has surf rust spots. (see pics) Not bad overall. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
