Description: Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. 100% original save for a five-way pickup selector and bone nut, this alder-bodied Strat has all the hallmarks of a late ‘60s example, including a four-bolt neck plate, large headstock with block logo, and gray bobbin pickups. The guitar has a very lively natural acoustic tone, with a smoothness and treble detail that translates well through the pickups. The gray bobbin single coils offer a distinct, vital sound in every position on the five-way switch: the bridge pickup is all bounce and spank with a chewy, midrange-forward sound, the neck pickup is silky and bell-like with a woody cut, and the "in between" positions on the switch have a scooped sound. There is broad finish checking on the back, and some isolated finish loss along the edges of the top. The body exhibits some dings along the perimeter, primarily on the lower bout, some finish scratches on the back shy of “buckle rash," and a few additional minor marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, free of palm wear with just a few shallow marks on the profile length. The original black tolex hardshell case is included. The case is very clean with functional latches, the original handle and tail-less Fender logo.
