Attaches to front center underside of hood. Nice clean piece with no damage, bad wear, or bad pitting. Was stored away inside for many years, then recently given a bead blasting down to clean bare metal, before being primed and painted in a dark silver matte finish paint, that is very similar to the factory plating applied on these catches originally. Ready to install on your car. A real time and effort saver! If you are into date codes on your car, this one is dated: 2718, or 271 st day of 1968 (see close-ups in pictures 5 and 6 here).
