Description: 1967 Martin D-35. This one has a wonderful, balanced tone. You hear the deepness of the fundamentals, but also the dry woodiness you love to hear out of the mid and top end. Really nice sounding instrument. As a 1967 one big bonus is that it still was manufactured during the time Martin was using Brazilian rosewood on the back and sides. This one also has the nicer “Victoria luggage” case that typically came with the higher end instruments like the D-45. This one has the original black Pittard, which has been reglued. Martin had recently switched to this color from the earlier tortoiseshell. This one has the earlier specs such as the small maple bridge plate. The guitar has recently been serviced and it’s currently in fabulous playing order and sounds very nice. The neck has been reset in its lifetime. There is no bridge lift as it has just been reglued. The saddle has good height. There are two repaired cracks on the back as seen in the photos. It has other cosmetic where you would typically find on a guitar that got regularly played. I’m not 100% certain but I think the Chiquita banana sticker might be factory. There is a very narrow window during this year, where a factory worker placed these on guitars made on certain days of the week. Obviously, I’m only kidding. I couldn’t bear to remove it because it just looks so quirky :-). It’s been regretted at some point and it’s life. There is still some height left. The wear seems to be relegated to just beneath the b string on frets 1-5. Please see photos for all other details. If you have any questions, please ask.
