Exterior Painted in Marina Blue, straight steel panels are shown with scrapes, bubbling, cracking and chipping of the paint, especially on the lower surfaces. Gaps are decently minded but would benefit from some extra alignment time as there is evidence of rubbing particularly between the driver's door and rear fender. Polished lip 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels give a muscular and elegant look that is accentuated by the like new red stripe radials. The headlights, slightly recessed into their respective bezels at the front of each fender, flank a bright and shiny eggcrate grille and just below is a brilliant straight chrome bumper. Clean emblems are on and match the quality of the nice trimmings around the glass. Just above the wheel wells in front is a small "fold" in the metal, which is a built-in trim spear, but remains the body color. This runs through the doors and to the rear quarters which support vertical taillights and backup lights placed on top of each other. A nicely curved back glass meets up with the trunk lid and rolls rearward to a trim piece which runs between the tail lights and highlights the rear of the lid. Below is another pristine bumper. Interior What better to compliment the blue and chrome of the exterior but sultry black pristine vinyl. Door panels are factory like new with the black and chrome trimmings. Slipping inside we see racy low back bomber styled buckets with some tuck and roll edging, smooth centers and a white stripe running through the middle of the smooth inserts. A back bench emulates this and is like new just like the buckets in front. All these float on a sea of black carpeting non faded, and of course like new. The center hump has a brushed aluminum geometric styled console that houses the now manual shifter lever topped with a white knob. All is very clean and very cool looking. The dash holds its own with typical GM styling horizontal speedo and side flanking fuel gauge and clock. In the center is an AM/FM radio and over to the glove box on the passengers side all within a brushed aluminum strip. Above is a black padded dash top, and below is a metal jacket panel with shiny pulls and knobs, temp sliders and just below a foursome of aftermarket gauges on a shiny panel for more pulse keeping of the mill just in front of this beautiful interior. Clean! Clean ! Clean! Drivetrain The consignor states that a 350ci crate V8 is now on board under the hood making an asphalt ripping 400+hp. A flip of the hood confirms that it is a V8, however, not the cubic inches, which remains consignor stated. On top is an aluminum intake manifold and a single 4-barrel carburetor and within is a Howards camshaft with .548i/.562e lift. All this with a black block dressed with polished valve covers and an air cleaner covering, also polished. On the back is a date correct Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission. The rear axle is a 10 bolt 3.36 geared setup. Undercarriage Lots of black paint and undercoating is seen along with some surface rust on untreated components. Otherwise, we note a nice job done underneath with a big shout out to the subframe connectors that have been added to help with structural integrity. Also, we note independent coil springs for the front, and leaf springs with Caltrac bars for the back. Disc brakes are up front and work together with rear drums. Drive-Ability A quick fire up and little warm up and off to the test track this car roared. I felt like a superstar behind this wheel in this excellent interior. On track I experienced smooth acceleration, bias free panic stopping, and nice tight cornering. All functions were working at this time save for the clock not keeping time and the heater blower failing to blow. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Well restored, well upgraded in the engine department, and nicely done interior, we have a runner, and a gunner with only a few small frowns. If you are looking for a smaller muscle car classic this one is truly a wild deuce in SS form. 118377W187156 1-Chevrolet 18-Nova V8 SS 37-2 Door Hardtop Sport Coupe 7-1967 W-Willow Run, MI Assy Plant 187156-Sequential Unit Number Classic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (that's more than 8 acres!).
