The fully hollow thinline maple body pairs the immediacy and articulation of maple with the warmth of the semi-hollow construction, and this H78 weighs only 6lbs 15oz. The DeArmond gold foil pickups have a percussive snap and twang, tight bass, and a harmonically-rich midrange which sounds great when each pickup is singled out or when paired together in any one of seven combinations. Unlike many gold foils, the ones on the H78 also feature adjustable pole pieces to further dial in the balance between the strings.
