Description: An interesting postcard picturing the M/S Vikingland, a ship of the Svenska Orient Line. The sender mailed this card from Thessaloniki where he was "stuck" while the ship he was on waited for a load of chrome ore. The card is addressed to an American Major, a member of UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) at Palestine through APO 223 in Athens. Franked with Greee Scott #698, the 2.50 drachma Knossos stamp from 1961 which is tied to the cover by a Thessaloniki postmark dated June 27, 1963. There is an Athens postmark dated July 2, 1963.
