Description: 1961 VINTAGE/ANTIQUE “CHICAGO ORIGINAL SCHWINN BICYCLE”. Purchased it from an estate sale along with a couple fenders and chain guard as shown in the pictures above. I ran the vin number and it came back as a 1961 Chicago original schwinn, It didn’t give me a model name or any other info. The bike also has a “City of Oakland California license number dated December 31, 1965…From my research the closest thing I found to it was a schwinn hornet but it did not have the same springer front end that this one has.
