Description: This auction is for a 1960 California License Plate in a frame from the same period of time.The 1960 steel license plate was issued in 1956 and last registered in 1960. The yellow paint and embossing is like new, with light rust along the edges, and an extra hole in the lower right corner. The frame was produced for the Frank Rosenberg dealership in Caruthers, CA by the Morton Manufacturing Company of Los Angeles. It has an inner-city postal code of '7' that places its age before 1963, (or while the 1956 California base plates were being produced). It is in very good condition with slight warping. Much of the white background paint of the embossing remains. It appears the letters were originally red. The dealership was located in Caruthers, CA until about 1967. The set measures 6" X 12".
