Description: Original color lithographed map of parts of Runnels, Tom Green, and Coke counties, Texas, printed more than 60 years ago. This map was compiled and published by the U.S. Geological Survey, Department of the Interior, and it is identified as the 1957 edition of the Miles quadrangle, printed in 1958. It is drawn on a scale of 1:62,500, with contour lines at 10-foot intervals. The image area measures 44.4 x 38 cm [17½" x 15"], and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 100°00' W to 100°15' W and latitude 31°30' N to 31°45' N. Among the named places and features are schools, cemeteries, caliche pits, pipelines, the River Road, Lowake, Indian Creek, the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Division of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, the Concho River, Rowena, and Miles. Condition: The map is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no rips or tears. It is an ex-library map, and there are old library markings in the lower margin, outside of the image area.
