Description: This listing is for a 1955 later edition of a book first published in 1943 - "Dancing" by Betty Lee. The author states that she created the book because the dances were "timeless", and her instructions made the dances easy to learn. That must be true, at least sort of, since the book made it through a lot of reprints. The book covers primarily square dancing in the first sections, as well as square type dances - quadrilles, marches, round dances, and also includes waltzes, schottisches, tango, foxtrot, charleston, onestep, canter, polka, and more! I have included pictures of the contents. I didn't try out the dances, but I have to say that I like charleston the best! The book is in excellent vintage condition. Its VERY GOOD, tight bright and clean. The paper has darkened a bit with age, and there are some rubs to the boards on the edges and spine. There are no marks or writing, and no dust jacket. Its a fun book, and a must have for people who love dance.
