Description: Runs and drives great.Located in North Texas.1955 Ford F500 Short Bus with 56 grille On a 2000 Silverado Dually Chassis - 6.0 LS Fuel injected engine. Overall Length: 22 feetWheelbase: 13’3” Overall Height: approx. 9’2” Chassis and Drivetrain: 2000 Silverado Dually (Heavy Duty Suspension)Engine: 6.0 LS Transmission: 4L80e Engine / Electrical / Wiring Harness: Brand NEWAll lights and turn signals work. Bus body design/manufacturer: SuperiorIt has the iconic and rare "stamped and ridged" side body panels. Looks very cool and retro. Hood and fenders are in good shape, not rusted. The lower valance is damaged / bent on drivers side as photos show. Can be repaired or replaced pretty easy. Very dependable, everything on the bus is mechanically a 2000 Silverado: brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, radiator, fuel tank, etc., so parts are easy to find in any town. Starts easily, idles great, runs great, power steering and brakes work great, and the radiator cools efficiently in Texas heat. It spent the first part of its resurrected life as a food truck several years ago and there is still some internal 110v wiring inside along with some stainless steel tables. The side windows are hinged and they can be folded down or locked in place when up. The windshield is new. The bus body is professionally mounted to the Silverado Chassis using the existing body/cab mounts as well as a few other frame mounts. Both doors open/close great and there is very little rust that can be found on this bus anywhere for its age.Back door is solid and open-closes great. As I have mentioned, it starts and runs great but it is not registered so it probably needs to be towed, this is your call.Watch the video of the test drive. It drives and rides like any 6.0 LS Silverado Dually. If you want to have it towed, the (22' short body) and (13'3" short wheelbase) fits on any rollback tow truck very easily, I've done it twice. If you would like to hire someone local to come inspect and test drive the old bus, I'd be happy to work with them. ==> Clear Texas Title in my name.
