Description: Highly sought after for guitar amp conversion. Transformers are tested and works great! The amp still needs to be worked on, such as changing out/reform the electrolytic caps, noisy resistors, new tubes, 3-prong power cord, etc. Or converting it to a more guitar friendly mid-ranged tone stack. For now it has noisy, leaky capacitors, resistors, tubes. It has two bumblebee caps in it. Those paper in oil waxed plastic covered capacitors usually leaks. The two speaker jacks also changed to regular 1/4" jacks. On is 8 ohm one is 16 ohm. Great little project! Brought up the amp slowly with a variac, and played with a Yamaha SA2000s into an 8 ohm Jensen neodymium Tornado speaker. It's recorded on a iPhone 8 placed on a music stand, so it shook a little when it's loud. Thank you for looking! 1955 Bell & Howell 285 tube amp Video will open in a new window Using the mobile app?
