Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1954, in the aftermath of the Korean War, Bowman continued to serve the military-oriented interests of young boys everywhere by issuing a set known as Power For Peace. It utilized real full-color photos, provided by the US military, of the various jets, artillery and other hardware protecting America's shores. The set is notable for not relying on drawings or colorized black and white photography, and it provides a real time capsule into the things that most kids - and many adults - found fascinating back in the Fifties. The cards remain very popular with collectors. This is card #82, captioned "The "Coke Bottle"." The card is in very nice shape except for being off center (see scans for condition), pretty good for a card that's sixty years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Payment is via PayPal; shipping is $2.60 for First Class Mail, and postage will be combined for multiple winnings. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
