1950s VTG Floral Tulle Dress Lace Strapless Sweetheart S

Description: This 1950s stunning blue floral dress features dual layers of lace , tulle and a acetate slip liner built in. The outer layer of tulle has floral lace patterns woven throughout that consists of two colors of thread. A blue dual layer crinoline is included with the dress to accentuate its fullness and volume. The Crinolines waistband has excellent elasticity. Photographs show the dress with the crinoline in place. Picture #6 shows dress without the crinoline underneath. No label within the crinoline. Dress has been cleaned. A Falcon brand zipper is located in the centre of the back for closure with a hook and eye at the waist and top. 4 flexible lengths of ribbing / boning are located within the structure of the dress with 2 in the back , and 2 in the front that run up the middle of the busts. Overall excellent condition and especially for a vintage garment of this age. Internal hanging straps have been added at some point in its life. 2 small repairs have been made to the lace at the back lower hem. One very small repair on the inner tulle on the front right side approximately 8” up from hem. All shown in pictures. The dress form used for photographs has measurements of 34” Bust , 24” waist , 35” hips and is a Size 6 for reference. No sizing tags present but should fit a modern small to medium. There is not enough room to zip up the bust while on the form and it leaves a 3” gap for the zipper to be able to close. A small amount of room through the waist remains while on the form. A 30-31 ” Bust , 24 ” Waist would best fit this dress. Hips are free. You could have the dress taken in to alter measurements if needed. Dress measurements are - 42” overall length. 11” in length from upper hem at bust to waist. 32” from waist to lower hem. 31” Bust 25” waist. Hip size is free. See pictures for condition and measurements. Please be aware all vintage clothes will have some wear, minor blemishes. No major blemishes unless pointed out in pictures.
