Description: 1950's Vintage Convair B-58 Hustler USAF LIGHTER EMBLEM Genuine! RARE 1 emblem per purchase, others are available while they last. Vintage, very nice, well preserved condition. These are NOT pins! The back is flat, it mounts to lighters by using a little bit of epoxy glue like JB Weld or a clear epoxy 2 part glue. Super glue can hold it too but I have not tried it to know how well or how long it lasts, but epoxy seems to hold forever! Measures around 5/8" x 7/16", small or tiny size. Gold plated. This dates to around 1956 to 1964/1965. Zippo lighters with similar military emblems sell for a lot more than plain zippo lighters. Instantly increase the value of your lighter with this emblem! It fits any lighter with a flat surface but Zippo I think is the only manufacturer that used these emblems. This is not a cheap imported Chinese copy, this is a genuine authentic USAF product. Stop buying fakes from China!!! Check out my other rare old items! These emblems were made by an insignia company that would supply military commissaries and when demand was not high enough items like this were boxed and stored for decades until recently being sold as surplus. They are genuine US Military items, at times the buyer had a choice of lighters and emblems for Crest Craft lighters or for a little more money they had the option of Zippo lighters. These items I have listed are rare no matter the quantity I have listed for sale because no other seller has them available, no undercutting company in China mass produces them and no company at this time makes them anywhere around the world. There are pictures of a lighter and a Quarter coin to show how it looks on a lighter and a size comparison. (The lighter and coin are not included in the sale.) Yes they are a tiny small size, it's the only size ever available though! The Convair B-58 Hustler is a high speed bomber designed and produced by American aircraft manufacturer Convair. It was the first operational bomber capable of Mach 2 flight. The B-58 was developed during the 1950s for the United States Air Force's Strategic Air Command. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember that most of the items that we carry have been previously owned. Unless otherwise stated, they may not be in absolutely flawless condition. We include very detailed pictures and give accurate written descriptions... so check them carefully. Please pay particular attention to the sizes and measurements when shown. Feedback is very important in my future business! If you are not satisfied with this transaction for any reason, please contact us before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I will do my best to solve the problem. Attention: If you order an item incorrectly or if it is just not needed, this does not fall under buyer protection or our warranty. You may return the item if it is not as described but actual shipping costs incurred will not be refundable. On "free shipping" listings, obviously, we do not get "free shipping." Our actual cost we paid to ship this item plus packing materials will not be refunded regardless of the fact you were offered "free shipping." Feel free to contact us if you have any question! This is not made by Zippo but these emblems are made for the US Military and that's all that matters. Zippo doesn't know their own history to know about the military using these emblems on their lighters.
