Description: This card features a license plate as shown. It was issued by Topps Chewing Gum Co. in 1950. It is one in a series of 48 states, D.C. and Quebec two times each in a 100 card set. Card numbers 26-50 have a car brand quiz ("Name This Car") on the back and are duplicate numbers (25 numbers, 50 different cards). The remainder of the set are plates on the front with a bit of trivia about the location on the back. What this confusing mess turns out to be is a set of 100 cards featuring 50 different license plates on the front of two card backs each. I have collected mini license plate items since the mid-1970s, and have a collection numbering well over 3,000 items. I am slowly getting into turning this into a business to feed my habit. I am not new to eBay; I have been buying and selling on this website since 1996 - this is a new I.D., not a new seller. My prime motivation here is to offer collectors a safe-haven store with realistic pricing and a bit of good education in down-home honest dealing. It might also help these other sellers with no knowledge in the subject to more realistically price their items. I am working on compiling a website AND a book of knowledge about this wonderful but small hobby. Follow me as a seller and stay updated on that endeavor. I am relatively sure that while the website will have low visitor count and the book will be a small print run, they will turn out to be very valuable for anyone who likes this subject. If you want to buy multiple items and combine shipping... Part of the point of the shipping charge per item is so that postage is paid if you buy a single item - but if you want to buy 3 items, I am certainly not going to charge you three times for shipping IF you select your items with "add to cart" then "request" an invoice for your order. I will be happy to combine shipping for as much as you want to buy, and for a number of items, the combined total of shipping will likely not be more than the shipping for a single item.
