1948 beseiged NAHARIYA Israel emergency mail cover HAIFA with 7th Slogan cancel

Description: 1948 interim mail/Nahariya 7th slogan: 13 May 1948 postmarked commercial cover (return addressed Oppenheimer at the 'Penguin' restaurant - the city's oldest restaurant founded by that family) from besieged NAHARIYA to HAIFA, franked 10m per period letter rate using Mandate pictoral stamp tied by black local Minhelet Ha'am post office postmark (opened locally since 6 May; prior to that cancelled by Post Office in Haifa upon arrival, on pre-franked mail) + local 1st issue rouletted 20m "Emergency Post" stamp (for emergency post dispatch service fee for letters), tied by 7th slogan canceller (type "C" with corrected "by sea" Hebrew text) with large rubber dater - to confirm payment of service fee. Slit open at top; as per the docketing in German(?) on front left it seems the letter arrived on the 17th (and replied to on the 19th). Nahariya was beseiged until 17 May when Akko was conquered and the road to Haifa reopened the next day; between 22 March and 21 May the local emergency postal service operated via sea to Haifa.
