Description: 1947 W T Copeland & Sons (Spode) square vegetable dish, chinoiserie pattern Audley "Royal Jasmine" from Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Hand painted in multiple colours on a cream background, with a delicate starburst and swaggers motif and a solid green border. In excellent original vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing or restoration that I can identify. Dimensions 23.5 cm square. The colours remain bright, clean and vibrant, an exceptional reminder of grand dining. The reverse of the dish bears the Copeland Spode England back stamp with Audley "Royal Jasmine", an impressed Copeland mark and date code U47 for June 1947 and some painter's marks. Ref 919
