Description: 1940s NATIONAL No. 5 16 Qt. PRESSURE COOKER-CANNER with ACCESSORIES RESTORED This is a National Pressure Cooker Canner # 5 from the 1940s. It was found with all its original canning parts, only missing two "short rack" pins. I believe it was donated from a farm family estate. The canner and and all its parts have been cleaned . There is no pitting in the metal! A new seal and pressure plug are included. The wooden handles have been refinished in a mahogany matte poly finish. The canner pressure gauge has been tested by the Kendall County Illinois Extension office to be within the 1 to 2 pound range of true pressure.
