Initially trained as a medical doctor, Paul Wolff devoted his life to photography, became a master in several genres and created brilliant imagery throughout his storied career. This image was made during the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany to which Wolff, along with the infamous Leni Riefenstahl, were given VIP access and prime photographic vantage points by the Olympic Committee and the German government.
