Fast forward to this moment and Owens is showing off his 4 Gold Medals that he won in the 1936 Olympics that were held in Berlin. This Olympics event was highly anticipated since it was being held and hosted by Hitler in Germany. There was a lot of hype about Hitler's Aryan Supremacy and were perceived to be the winners before the Olympics even took place. Proving to the world his dominance, Owens would win Gold in 100m, 200m, 100m relays and the Long Jump. They say Hitler was so angry and embarrassed he ordered Owens to come up to his box to shake his hand and ended up ditching him while Owens sat in the box waiting. Now he is seen back from his trip and in NYC showing off his medals and being celebrated by his family and friends.
