Description: This is a fairly scarce series of cards issued by the E. ROSEN Company of Providence Rhode Island. These are thought to have been issued in 1932, the E. Rosen company was a producer of Candies during this time and although no product is mentioned on the card, it is believe to have been given away with their brands of Candy. The series is designated as series R139 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue and is entitled “Soldier Cards” Although on the back of the card it does list the series as having 192 different cards in the set. No number higher than 36 has ever been recorded so it is believe that the series is complete at 36 card. The front features an illustration of a soldier from a different nation. The back features a description of the featured soldier and the card number in the set. These are all lower grade cards and we have provided high resolution scans so you can see condition detail.
