In 1927 Bowman won the AAU 100 yards. Charles Edward Borah (November 11, 1905 – April 11, 1980) was an American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4 × 100 m relay at the 1928 Summer Olympics.Jackson Volney Scholz (March 15, 1897 – October 26, 1986) was an American sprint runner. In the 1920s, he became the first person to appear in an Olympic sprint final in three different Olympic Games. After his athletic career, he also gained fame as a writer.Henry Cumming ran for the University of Virginia and Newark AC. He prepped at Woodberry Forest Academy, where he became student body President before entering Virginia. After college graduation Cumming taught for several years at Woodberry Forest before returning to U Va for graduate school. He then stayed on staff in Charlottesville as a professor political science.Francis Valentine Joseph Hussey (February 14, 1905 – December 26, 1974) was an American sprint runner who won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
