Description: Original October,1925 invoice from E.W. Mullin, Groceries and General Merchandise, Iola, Colorado. Receipt is for $1.50 for 5 gallons of gasoline. The gas was purchased by a traveling sales agent for the St Joseph Stockyards Company of St Joseph, Missouri and was submitted as part of his October, 1925 Expense Report. The operator of the store, Earl W. Mullin, Colorado in 1886 and died in Grand Junction Colorado in 1962. He married Eleanor Jane (Jennie) Carver in 1913. In 1981 the couple was living in Gunnison, Colorado where Earl managed a grocery store. After operating the store in Iola, they moved to Gallup, New Mexico where the 1930 census lists Earl as working at a grocery store. By 1942, the Mullins had returned to Colorado and were living in Grand Junction. Eleanor died in 1987 (a few months shy of her 100th birthday) and both are buried in Grand Junction, Colorado.
