Description: This is an original badge pin for a member of the Press that attended the 1924 Democratic Convention held at Madison Square Garden in New York City from June 24th to July 9th, 1924. The delegates nominated John W. Davis on the 103rd ballot. Davis and his running mate, Governor Charles W. Bryan of Nebraska, were defeated that fall by the Republican candidates, President Calvin Coolidge and Charles G. Dawes. It is complete with the original white ribbon and the Press insert that slides into the upper portion of the badge. The metal portion of the badge has the words, Democratic National Convention, the year, 1924, and, below the eagle, New York. There is a maker's mark on the reverse, but I cannot identify it, please see the photos. Domestic USPS Priority Shipping with tracking is included. International shipping is through eBay's International Shipping service. In this service the seller ships the purchased item to eBay's domestic shipping hub, and then eBay collects the appropriate shipping fees and handles all of the international details/requirements, including the Customs paperwork.
