Description: 1920s Metal Tool Box Chest Oversized Industrial Machine Age Pyramid Top Rare Extremely rare style toolbox that was probably made in the 1920s The pyramid lid gives the box a house-shaped appearance. The hinged lid has a lockable hasp. The bottom corners are reinforced. The top handle and one of the D rings are missing. The brackets allow an easy replacement. A small springed clipboard is attached to the inside lid. I don't think it's original, but it can be easily removed. Inside the box are 2 partitioned trays. The inside and outside of the box show signs that one end was exposed briefly to high heat. The original paint and metal show age, scrapes, rust, and stains. The bottom has corrosion but the metal is solid. The box and trays have been cleaned but remnants of residues and oil remain. Measures about 22 x 10 inches and 14 1/2 inches tall.
