Description: 1920's - 1950's Oil Well Drilling Photograph Album ATLANTIC OIL 225+ Photos This eBay listing is for a wonderful piece of oil drilling history wrapped up inside 1 album. I didn't take the pictures out but looking at some of the loose pictures and the clippings that were including with this nice archive, it appears to be to history of 1 man and his friends. There are pictures of the oil drilling, along with some hurricane damage and flood damage pictures as well from the area. The first pictures in the beginning of the album is dated 1926 with a guy standing in front of a Shell gas station pump and then it goes through the 1930's, 1940's and finally retirement in the 1950's. Many of the pictures are marked on the backs with who the guys are in the pictures and someone took the time to cut out articles, I'm guessing from a company magazine, and placed them next to some of the photos in the album. In some of the loose paperwork included, I saw mention of Kansas a few times, a few different claims and what they were called, another oil company and towards the end - more pictures and references to Atlantic Oil company. I had though about breaking the album apart and selling just the oil drilling pictures by themselves in a number of listings since many of the them would sell for $25 to $75+ each but for now, I would like to keep the entire archive together to preserve the history. I can now take upto 20 pictures and post them on ebay so please take the time to review all the pictures to see what is included. Since I can't post more, there will be lots that won't be pictured as well that is included. I'll try to picture most of the more unique and pictures in this ebay listing. To give you an idea on the physical size of the pictures - the album itself measures 11" x 14". I counted 214 actual real photos in the album and there are a number of loose pictures as well.
