Description: Up for sale is a 1910 copy of "THE STORY OF HIAWATHA" by Clayton Edwards. Adapted from Longfellow with the original poem.In this land of change it is important that we may learn a little of the childlike people who preceded us; who hunted, fished and worshipped long ago where we now make our homes and lead our lives. No other legends have so strange a charm, or such appealing local interest, as legends of the wildwood, and nowhere are these so well expressed as in Longfellow's poem of Hiawatha. This book is in very good condition. Boards are straight with slightly bumped corners. Shelf wear/rubbing/chipping to the boards along the edges, corners and at the top/bottom of the spine panel. Shelf wear/rubbing/soiling to the front/rear boards as well as along the spine panel. The spine and pages are very tight. Text block is tight within the binding. Some soiling to the page ends. Previous owner's bookplate and inscription on the front pastedown. There are no marks, tears, bookplates or writing in these books. Please review all photos for your best idea of condition.
