Description: Print is of an Indian maiden, young Native American woman and white European American colonizer. No frame but print is matted. JLG Ferris signature and Wolf & Co copyright 1908. Measures 14” x 11” Artist Jean Leon Gerome Ferris (August 18, 1863 – March 18, 1930) was an American painter best known for his series of 78 scenes from American history, entitled The Pageant of a Nation, the largest series of American historical paintings by a single artist. The Wolf and Company were established somewhere in the late 1800s up until the early 1900’s era located in Philadelphia, PA. Wolf & Co. began as a lithograph printer and produced advertising calendars and serving trays for various companies including Coca-Cola and industries across the country. I have not been able to locate this particular piece by Ferris and could not find another similar that still exists by Wolf & Company. Contact me with any questions!
