Description: 1907 undivided back postcard - The Baltimore Steam Packet Co (Old Bay Line). This card has several nice things going for it. It's a special card printed for the Jamestown Exposition "Direct Route to Jamestown Exposition, Opens April 26th, Closes October 30th, 1908. That alone makes it fairly rare. Plus, it has the special Exposition Station Cancel. And, what I really like, is that the sender underlined "Virginia" to show which ship they were traveling on and provided info about the ship in the handwritten message "This boat is over 300 ft long and goes from Baltimore to Norfolk 186 miles in 12 hours. A delightful trip for us." The card is in nice condition, with some wear around the edges at the corners. Please see photos.
