1906 NAPA, CALIFORNIA (WINE COUNTRY) "J CARBONE" (SALOON, WINES & LIQUOR) TOKEN

Description: For sale, a BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN...ANTIQUE (GOES BACK TO 1906) TOUGHER WINE COUNTRY TOWN, USED IN A SALOON / WINE LIQUOR DEALER "good for" style trade token which actually is "GOOD FOR 5C IN TRADE" at a business called " J. CARBONE & CO. (SALOON, POSS AT 21 SO. MAIN ST)" which was located in old historic downtown NAPA, CALIFORNIA. We know from other "Carbone" tokens from Napa.....that J. Carbone ran saloon / wine liquor business in downtown Napa going back to 1910.....and then there was a "Charles Carbone" who ran the Gilt Edge Saloon around 1910 located at 21 South Main St. (we know this from token website.....not sure if these were same person or relatives running 2 different saloons)IT IS ALWAYS TOUGHER TO FIND THESE OLD "WINE COUNTRY" (NAPA SONOMA COUNTIES).....AND A BEAUTIFUL UN-DUGSPECIMEN This is a great old WESTERN SALOON MERCHANT token. The historic town of NAPA goes way back, and located in Napa County, Not far from San Pablo Bay, Petaluma and Boyes Hot Springs CaTrade token is brass metal, round, about 21mm in diameter, has its background patina, and it displays very nicely.
