Manufactured in Philadelphia by Jewelers Baily Banks and Biddle, as seen is small type below anchor (BB&B Philadelphia). Obverse shows flying figure of Mercury at center with fragment of monument pedestal at left and anchor, rooster, and fruit basket at right, with seascape in background; legend: "PRESENTED BY THE HOLLAND SOCIETY OF NEW YORK JANUARY 1905/JUSTITIAM ETNON TEMNERE DIVOS"; inscription in exergue: "S.P.Q. m s t./SACRVM." Reverse depicts winged allegorical figure of Glory seated upon cloud and blowing trumpet, with crowned double shield at left; surrounding legend: "MEDAL STRUCK BY THE UNITED PROVINCES OF THE NETHERLANDS TO COMMEMORATE THEIR TREATY WITH THE UNITED STATES/FAVSTISSIMO FOEDERE JUNCTAE./DIE VII OCTOB.
