Description: In really clean and good condition barring some almost invisible mendings done in the era notably under one arm seam, this fine calico cotton dress has some great dressmaking details. Tiniest mother of pearl buttons at the cuffs, with hooks and eyes closing the back bodice and a couple of large brass snaps below that. Fine lace inset on the top of the high neck bodice, under which is the pigeon breasted 'puffed' style. Fabulous 'dobby stripe' fabric in taupe on ivory, with lavender ribbon on the decorative flanges on front bodice on the cuffs of the long sleeves and along the ruffled hem, with a lavender ribbon bow hanging from one side which must have attached to the other side to create almost a short overvest look. As seen in the photos this will not close in back on my dress form due to the very petite size of 28 bust, 22 waist, 34 hips with a length of 53 inches, but all fastenings are present.I cannot accept returns on antique garments so please ask any questions prior to purchase, read the description in full and view all photos, thanks very much!
