Description: Absolutely charming 18th century embroidery (not technically a sampler, but appears to be done by someone of a young age). Probably English. Comes from the Beverly Hills estate of famed photographer Melvin Sokolsky. Measures - in frame - 8.5"T x 6.25"W. Slightly darker than it appears in the photos. The glass and frame are much later, probably late 19th C.
