Description: 1898 Correspondence from Grand Rapids Mi. To Bellevue, Mi., postmarked April 26, 1898, on a Perkins and Richmond letterhead, dated April 25, 1898. Letter was written to Ethel (nickname Charlie) Carothers in regards to her brother Milburn and his friend having both enlisted in the U.S. Army, Co. H., for service in the Spanish American War, under Captain Louis Covell. Great letterhead from business owned by A.B. Richmond, who wrote the letter. Original envelope is included, small tear can be seen in a photo, has not been taped. Paper measures approximately 8 3/8" x 7 1/4", has fold marks, River Paper Co watermark is visible on back side.
