Boards are straight and clean with good corners. Shelf wear/rubbing to the boards along the edges, corners and at the top/bottom of the spine panel. Shelf wear/rubbing to the front/rear board panels and along the spine panel. Spine panel has some off coloring from old residue when a sticker was removed. The spine and pages are very tight with strong hinges. Text block is tight within the binding. A bookplate from the Scientific Library of the United States Patent Office on the front pastedown. A Patent Office stamp on the first blank page and an 1897 Patents Office stamp at the top of the preface page. There are no other marks, tears, bookplates or writing in these books.
