Description: For sale is a very rare 1892-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. The CC mint mark on Morgan Silver Dollars comes from the Carson City Mint. The Morgan Silver Dollar is the most collected coin in the world, and the Carson City coins are the most sought after and most valuable of all the Morgans. One reason is because the Carson City Mint was only in operation for about 19 years, and only minted Morgans for 13 years. Another reason is because coins minted in Carson City had very low mintages. And lastly, the Carson City mint has a very seedy reputation in that they were known for their corruption and sloppiness which ultimately led to them being shut down. This sorted past is what makes any CC coin instantly rare, valuable, and in demand. The 1892 is the 4th most valuable of all 13 Carson City Morgans because of its very low mintage of 1.3 million coins. As you can see from the pics the coin is in very good shape, and it would come in at a decent F grade. All lettering, stars, date, and that great CC mint mark are all nice and clear. Most of the eagle's feathers are even present on the reverse. It has a nice ash patina to it, and other than a small nick on the obverse rim right below the date, the coin has no major damage and has not been cleaned. This is a must-have coin in any Morgan Dollar collection, and owing it adds an instant rarity to your collection. Thanks!
