Description: This is a hard to find antique 1890s or early 1900 original drugstore advertising sign for Indian Lotion For Piles. The thin cardboard sign is mounted in a wood frame with plastic cover.....frame measures 11 3/4"tall x 21 3/4"wide... ...The red lettered sign reads INDIAN LOTION FOR PILES ALL DRUGGISTS 25 AND 50 (cents)...Picture of an indian warrior on horseback TRADE MARK REGISTERED ..also has small maker's mark CALHOUN SHOW PRINT HARTFORD,CONN... The thick paper or thin cardboard sign has a tear across the word LOTION...another small tear by the number 25...and 4 small holes from where it was nailed to a wall at one time. A couple small square pieces of white masking tape. ....I guarantee this advertising sign is authentic and over 100 years old. I believe the wood frame with plastic cover is not as old as the sign?... We acquired it along with some other antique medical advertising signs that had 1890s - early 1900 dates, so I would say this sign was made in that period....
